[NU Sports] Sutton not a Captain?

When I talked with her prior to the Softball World Series (I'm the media
director), she was very appreciative of NU Football, and her place amongst some
Wildcat faithful as a "good luck charm."

She also told me she really likes Evanston and the Press Box at Ryan.

As an announcer, I find that she's pretty much "the facts of the game" as it
unfolds. At the series, she had a set of story lines that the producers worked
up, and had to follow those lines as part of her job as PBP announcer. ESPN
shoots a fair amount of pregame video that they intend to use, and one of Pam's
job in the booth is to help get that video on the air, sometimes it just doesn't
fit and as PBP "guy" she takes the heat for putting something out of place.

At least she knows what "slap bunting" is - something that last year's PBP guy
didn't know.

BTW - she considers her forte to be Women's sports, but in the Fall, Football is
the game at ESPN.

If you happen to find the Little League Senior Softball World Series on ESPN
some night, I'm the guy to the right of the Umpire back in the press box.
(Wearing my NU hat)
