The offense was not a second half team, but I thought the D continued
to play well.
Not that it really matters, but Michigan only scored 14 points off the
four 2nd half turnovers, all in the fourth quarter. Their first
touchdown of the second half was after a punt and a long Michigan
drive. But then after the offense sputtered again, the D stopped
Michigan one more time, before the offense took over and went into
turnover mode.
Michigan's final two touchdowns came on drives of just 26 and 16 yards.
You can't fault the defense too much for those, especially given that
they stopped Michigan on two other turnover drives (albeit Michigan's
poor field goal kicking helped out on those drives).
All five of our turnovers today were Bacher's. That hurts for him, but
he's really gotta protect the ball better in the backfield.
