[NU Sports] Defense

While I do not agree with the decision to put the corners back 10 yards on
virtually every play, it makes sense given the overall defensive strategy.
Today NU kept a lot of men "in the box" and that went a long way towards
stopping the run - in fact Hart was pretty well contained for most of the
day. This meant less safety help on the edges and therefore the need to
play it safe. Also, it doesn't help having guys who can't cover the
opponents' fastest receivers (except maybe McManis who had a couple of nice
plays today).
Unfortunately we continue to see the result of that - QBs who can always
find an open receiver and a team that almost never gets interceptions. Oh,
and Carr will continue to have them throw quick passes to the outside
receiver who has the big cushion. Obviously stopping the run is nice, but
the thing that is really hurting NU is the lack of a pass rush. Even when
our DL can get pressure on the QB it's usually too late.
