Yeah, but about the only time a coach makes such a drastic move like 
that mid-season is when he's concerned about his own neck being on the
chopping block before the end of the season.  Among other things, it 
leaves the school a coach short during a key part of the recruiting season, 
because they aren't likely to add someone to the coaching staff mid-season 
(and anyone they find probably has to be unemployed at the moment, so 
the pickings are likely to be slim.)

Fitz's job is secure for a few years, so I wouldn't expect any
desperation measures.
