[NU Sports] Around the league (was: Rants and bias ...)

It is very hard to conclude anything other than the fact that we have a  
pathetic coaching staff.  It is truly criminal that at least three of them  still 
have jobs.  They are:
 
- Asst Coach (and D-backs) Jerry Brown
- OC Garrick McGee
- DC Greg Colby

These three men have shown themselves to be total incompetents - and  our 
hiring any of them has shown that we have not exercised good judgement in  hiring.

- Brown was an awful DC, dumped as DC and 'kicked upstairs' to  handle 
D-backs, because apparently the best man to handle the secondary is a man  who 
couldn't handle the defense.
 
- McGee was an undistinguished WR coach at 'perennial powerhouse'  UNLV, then 
the same here before he was elevated to OC after the unexplained  departure 
of Mike Dunbar.  Dunbar was a proven OC who designed a pretty  good offense.  
McGee had shown no prior ability to coordinate a Big  Ten offense, and has 
shown none here.  Why did we name an OC with NO  experience coordinating an 
offense ?
 
- Colby's resume is pathetic.  4 years as the DC at Kent resulted in  over 33 
points a game and almost 400 yards a game, mostly against 'powerhouse'  MAC 
teams.  So who decided he had the talent to coordinate a Big Ten  defense ?  
One that regularly faces Michigan and Ohio State - not  Eastern Michigan and 
Ohio U.
 
Our horrific hiring and promotion over the last few years has left us with  a 
coaching staff that most Division II schools would be ashamed of.  But we  
keep bringing them back, year after year after year.
