<Did we have a roster of five star recruits in 1995, 1996 or 2000? Nope. . .  We had teams that believed in each other, played as a team, cut down on mistakes and (95/96 defense and 00 offense) used coaching innovation to outthink our opponents.

But that won't cut it in the long run.  Sooner or later if you're going to be good consistently, you have to have the talent.  I don't want to slip back into the marshmallows-in-the-tubas era, which looks to be on the horizon.  I want to get better, not worse.  Perhaps the coaching staff can squeeze more out of our talent, but ultimately - CLICHE ALERT! - you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip.
