[NU Sports] Can we lay off the Big Ten now?

There was more talk on ESPN this morning how the Big
East was so much improved and how the Big Ten was so
far below the SEC and Pac 10 and even the Big East.
Well, Louisville - one of the Big East powers - is
getting smoked at home by Syracuse. The same Cuse who
lost big to middle-of-the-pack Big Ten teams Iowa and
Illinois. And USF's win at Auburn has lost some of its
luster.
And Nebraska (in Lincoln!) and Florida are in trouble.
Bottom line, there's a lot of parity out there. And
there are still some pretty good teams - and excellent
depth - in the Big Ten.
As for Indiana/Illinois - I alternate between thinking
that NU can beat these guys and that we're in trouble.
They both have some talent but not consistency yet.
Hopefully we can right our coaching woes and use our
experience at winning recently over them.
As for today's game ... I just want to see us play
smarter, more focused football than we did last week
when we gave that game away. That's for our players
and our coaches.
GO CATS!!!
