Well, the option is a designed run, its just that the QB has to take his cue
from the DE and CB to see what he does with the ball.
Baz did have a QB draw play, but I think McGee's background as an option/rushing
QB who was injured a lot effects some of his planning. Dunbar didn't have that
worry of injury on his mind, but he still didn't like the QB Sneak - even though
Trevor Rees was a master at opening up the middle down in Texas [with Roberson
also running thru the center of their line.]
I would like to see the QB draw back in the book, maybe its just not time to run
it. That first spring game, where CJ got a chance to show his rushing, was
highlighted by several QB Draws, but I think McGee was more concerned with WR's
back then.
