As purely a consumer of news I find my habits have changed.

Last year I dropped my daily newspaper(Trib or Daily Herald -- who ever made me the least mad in regards to delivery and coverage), which I subscribed to since junior year of college.

This year I find that I no longer visit content sites directly with the exception of ESPN. I now use news.google.com for topic searches and based on experience choose among the different sources.

The only 2 direct news sources I visit are the economist and the chosun ilbo(korean news in english).

I do still subscribe to magazines, but entirely hobby related(running/triathlon) and not news. If the subscription fees weren't so cheap and if it wasn't such convenient "bathroom" reading I would defintely be completely online.

My only other concession to "old" media is NPR during the daily
commute.

Medill has to do what it takes to keep current. The same way tech keeps rearranging my department(Computer Science) to keep it current with technology's advance. If my department did not look considerably different 10 years from now I would be highly disappointed.
