[NU Sports] Night Games

I believe that this is the case, and since ESPN/ABC decide their night games
in advance of the season they apparently released NU from any home night
games hence the BTN's decision to take a night time for the Duke game. I
don't see Evanston changing that "one night game per year" ordinance unless
NU forks over some money - just like they did to get rid of the "historic
district" dispute (when the city designated a large portion of campus as a
historic district, severely limiting NU's ability to perform any work on
those buildings - and such "historic" buildings like Blomquist Gym (built in
the 80's), Foster Walker Complex (built in the 70's), and the Hillel Center
(built in the late 90's) were a part of that district - NU paid the city
over $700,000 to get rid of the tag on most of the buildings). It's all
part of the town gown relationship, although that has been subsiding
recently with the retirement of certain aldermen, but it's still present
(thanks to the fact that NU pays no property taxes).
