Being there the stadium looked EMPTY.
Since the coverage is the Big Ten network do we control the crowd shots? We should direct the cameramen to show the pep band and the group of students that were on campus and not the empty sections.
Having games played in weather where shorts must be worn is WRONG, but it is here to stay.
I like the suggestion of downsizing the stadium a little. What I would really like is just making the seats a little bit wider. Without our seatbacks and our extra seat(3 season tickets for 2 people) we would be crushed during the conference season when the rows are packed. Americans are getting bigger and this would be a subtle way to make the stadium look a little bit more crowded.
I thought Tyrell, CJ, and our receivers looked good. Our O-line was fair, but took control late.
Our D-fense was marginal. I thought we had the guys in the right place, but they did not make the play. Them missing 2 field goals kept Northeastern from gaining any confidence. I believe we realy, realy missed Brendan. Hopefully he will be back for Nevada.
Bravo to our special teams. We saw quite a few games where the special teams was NOT special and to have ours get 2 field goals, all extra points, EXCELLENT kickoffs, 1 punt inside the 10, and good tackling was a very pleasant surprise. Our only mistake was Wards gaffe on the 1st punt.
My spouse has family in Michigan and although I hate to see a big ten team lose we can use this forever when they try to harass us about ANYTHING NU does poorly -- MSU 2006, UNL 2000, UNH 2006, no NCAA tourney, etc.
