FWIW, Phil Steele's pre-season magazine said that Michigan's  defense was 
going to be a problem this season, but I doubt PS thought it would  kill 'em in 
the first game...
   NU: I was surprised by the "average" performance on both sides  of our 
linemen, particularly on defense.  With that said, our linebackers  were filling 
holes and getting a lot of tackles; I'm sure PF was pleased about  that.  And 
Rees will be back next week; good thing mon!
 
   I missed the 4th quarter due to prior arrangements.  Did  our back-ups 
play well?
