Talks about Wisconsin legislators getting a bill
together to bring sports networks like the BTN and
NFLN to the table for negotiations.

Probably just politician grandstanding ... but this
weekend should be a big test case for the midwest as
it's not just a creampuff nonconference game or
NU/Indiana contest - Wisconsin vs. Ohio State has a
lot more interest and fans may finally get fed up with
the bickering between the networks and cable.

The article also mentions basketball season ahead
where even more fans will feel the impact. Should be
interesting to see if this goes anywhere. Also
interesting to see what went into the network
selection process here, as I'm sure ABC or ESPN would
have much rather had OSU-Wisky than any other game
this week - wonder why they didn't get it.

PS - Still, Big Ten fans have to be thankful for their
TV deal. We looked at the SEC a few weeks back and how
some major clashes were only on Jefferson Pilot or
ESPN Game Plan PPV ... out here in Arizona, the Pac 10
situation is maddening as well. Until ESPN stepped in
early this week, ASU-Oregon was a FoxNet regional
game. #4 vs. #5?!?! UGH!
