[NU Sports] Girardi (fwd)

The A-Rod Derby probably comes down to the Dodgers, Angels, Giants White Sox
and Cubs the latter two depending on who ends up with the Cubs and how
quickly that becomes known. The White Sox probably don't get in the game
unless the Cubs do and the Cubs don't get in the game unless the new owner
gives it his blessing. I wouldn't be surprised to see it come down to the
Dodgers and Angels and the Angels the likely winner. A-Rod may prefer to
stay in the AL and Moreno may be hunting for a marquee player to continue
the Angels box office success, plus a Latino superstar would certainly be a
plus in Anaheim.
I too am conflicted with Girardi in the Bronx as I can't stand to see Yankee
success. I was hoping for Mattingly with Girardi getting another, better
job.

I think that the Giants and the Dodgers are going to be in the final hunt
for
A-Rod. The Giants have some money to spend by letting Barry go. They also
need some star power to keep putting people in the seats. A-Rod may not
like
it though because it isn't a very hitter-friendly park. Clearly thought
they
love dysfunctional home run hitters there, so perhaps it will be a good fit.
The Dodgers just need to win. A-Rod isn't the player they should sign if
they want to do that, but ownership sometimes lets ego get in the way of
good
judgment.

But in the Yankees' case, you can be fire IN one day. R.I.P. Joe Girardi.
At least the coffin will be lined in gold. (A-Rod with the Mets? Nah! Not
at short or third. While I would love to see the Phillies have someone of
that caliber playing third, not at $300M. That's insanity.)
Any news on the Cats' TV schedule this Saturday?
