Now all of us Yankee haters are stuck.  I love to root against the Yankees, but how can I root against Girardi?  Makes you almost wish Mattingly got the job...especially since I think Girardi will do a pretty good job.

Yankees have offered Joe Girardi their managerial position, according to  
published reports.  
It is believed Girardi has been given a three-year, $6 million package to  
become Joe Torre's replacement on the Yankee's bench.
