The outcome wasn't a surprise, but after we took a 17-14 lead, I was
hopeful. Credit Purdue for, let's call it like it was, simply kicking our ass in
the 4th quarter. Unlike the Michigan game, in which we gave the game away,
Purdue took it from us. 4 yards in the 4th quarter.
OK, so that's the bad news. The good news is that we turned the ball
over 4 times, yet still managed to get the lead, if ever so brief. I think it's
telling that in what most of us considered prohibitive losses (Michigan and
Purdue), we've lead after 3 quarters in both games. The fact is, we've been
in the position to win. We've been won or been in all games except OSU. We
cut down the turnovers vs. Purdue/Michigan, and your looking at 7-2, 4-1 in
conference.
But as we know, we did turn the ball over 8 times in those two games. So
it's time to turn the page and focus on the worst thing since the root
canal-Iowa. This is a huge game for both teams. The winner has a great chance to
go bowling; the loser starts to think about 2008, especially Iowa. Iowa has
had "challenges" on the road this year; let's hope that holds next week.

GO CATS!!! Eric Trust the Plan!
