So I'm flying tonight to Chicago. 
 Am at the Houston airport (don't ask), boarding the plane to O'Hare. 
 Guy in front of me in the line, making conversation, asks if I'm heading home. 
 No, I say, I live in LA. But I went to college in Chicago, and always love returning, I say. 
 Where'd you go? the guy asks. 
 I say, Northwestern. 
 What? he says. You weren't smart enough to get into Iowa?
 Bada-bing.  
 BTW I recommend Skip Myslenski's game story in Saturday's Tribune. I may have developed ulcers at some Houston sports bar watching the inconsistent Cats play down to but ultimately defeat EMU. Or that may have been the barbecued ribs.
