Though Detroit often takes abuse, 'lovely downtown Detroit' was looking  good 
last night - Ford Field is an extraordinary venue, Comerica next door is  
beautiful, and the area was crowded with late evening diners, night club crowds,  
theater-goers, etc.  The Fox Theater and the Downtown Music Hall  contributed 
to a very nicely lit skyline.  Everybody at the field was very  cordial.  
Even the post-game traffic, while congested, seemed less annoying  than a slog 
down a bumper-to-bumper Tri-State on a Friday evening.
