[NU Sports] 1st Half

The media coverage was commensurate with the attendance. I don't know
where they got those two clowns who called the game, but if you're going
to call a game that's being shown on ESPN*U*, you should know the
differences in the rules between college and pro ball. Was everybody
else yelling at the screen when they started talking about whether, on
that late, deep reception by EMU that ended up getting overturned, the
receiver was pushed out or not? They admitted, on the air, that they
didn't know whether that mattered in college (bad), but then kept on
talking about it like it did (worse). And apparently no one else in the
booth or control room corrected them (even worse).

There were numerous other gaffes by these guys, and the sideline
reporter was horrible, but that one stands out. By the sound of it,
they were calling remotely anyway. Then to top it off, the AP wire
report (at least the version that made the Indy paper) called Kim
Thompson "Tim" Thompson. I guess they couldn't believe that a guy could
be named Kim.

But we won, and that's the main thing that matters.
