In 1991-92 the only close games we lost at home were:
October 5, 1991 we lost to Purdue by 3 -- 14-17
October 31, 1992 we lost to Michigan State by 1 -- 26-27
We did not play Minnesota either 1991 or 1992.
We played WF in 1991, but beat them 41-14

We did play Minnesota at home on October 16, 1993 and lost 26-28.  
We beat WF by 12 in 1993.  We owned WF until 1996.

Looking at the results we lost to MSU by 3 in 1991, 1 in 1992, and 2 in 1993.  Soooooo close vs. our freshman year(1989) MSU 76 our cats 14.

I agree with Maureen in regards to MSU, but either way Len was so close to being the program savior vs. letting his backup(Schnur) have that honor.

It was MSU when they missed the FG.  I gave Len crap about that for years,
including when I interviewed him for a job at Motorola.

I really liked that 92 or 93 team with "Lenny and the Jets". That was the
year they beat BC and lost a heartbreaker that really sent the season into a
downward spin. I think it was a loss to Minny or Wake Forest when Sam
Valenzisi  hit a last second field goal and the refs didn't count it because
time  expired
