You summed  up his  "era" perfectly.  He deserves that respect and that place in the  pantheon of  'Cat coaches.    Permit me to nominate someone I mentioned in an earlier post for at least   "Honorable Mention" in the coaching category--Alex Agase.  He led us to   successive winning seasons (Both 7-4 if memory serves and 6-1 in the  Conference),  and a win over tOSU in '70 and '71, and was preceded and followed  by "Dark  Ages" of NU football.  And from everything I have heard about him,  he was a class  act.
