[NU Sports] Uh Oh! BCS Poll Warnings

Yup - it goes to show why having the Big Ten do well
in September may be important later on.:)

For example, yesterday when FOX unveilled the BCS
standings, cranky ole' southerner Jimmy Johnson moaned
about how OSU has no challenges left and by far the
easiest road to the title game.

I can see bellyachin' about their schedule so far, but
their road left includes visits to PSU and Michigan
and the Illini and Badgers at home. That's about as
challenging of a final four games as you'll find in
the country - all teams 5-2 and top 25 caliber. ASU
may have it worse with Cal, Oregon, UCLA and USC in
their next four and Florida has three big road games
left. But that's about it.

But we lost respect in September and it's killing us
now. Ugh! I'd hate to see that cost us or Indiana a
bowl trip. We'll see how it shakes out.

I still think we'll get two BCS teams though. Gotta
home for Big East upsets!:) Having Texas lose again
wouldn't hurt either as they could kind of lurk there
and rise without the title game or another loss.

In league play, I think Iowa and MSU get worn down by
tough second half schedules and join Minnesota on the
sidelines. If we can beat EMU, that makes those
Indiana and Purdue games huge for bowl position.
