[NU Sports] Uh Oh! BCS Poll Warnings

Indeed, there is a lot of football to be played. But the fact is that as of
right now it looks like there may very well be 9 Big Ten teams bowl eligible
by the end of the year. I would say that if NU can reach 7-5 they will have
a strong chance of getting into one of the guaranteed 7 bowl slots for Big
Ten teams. Last year, I believe every 7-5 (or higher) team got a bowl
berth, and although parity/upsets are reigning this year, I would imagine
that a Big Ten team with a winning record would have a very good chance of
getting into a bowl. 6-6, though, would almost definitely leave NU out in
the cold since all teams with a winning record must be selected before a 6-6
team (and that's only when a conference tie-in is available).

In any case there is a long way to go, although every game left on the
'Cats' schedule is "win-able," although none of them (outside of EMU) are
going to be easy (and even that isn't going to be a cakewalk). Given what
we've seen this year around the country, you just never know.
