[NU Sports] Cardiac Cats!!!!!

I think we're mixing three issues into one here.

The initial comment was that NU was getting lucky with
these late-minute wins. I do disagree with that. Once
or twice is luck. Our record in close games and
overtime contests since the early 1990s show much more
than luck. And I can see why some would be getting
sick of hearing that the Cats got lucky again.

Are we playing with fire? Yes. But that also falls on
the offense. Defensive woes aside, we should have
buried Minnesota early this week, just as we should
have buried Duke early. In both games we moved down
the field and failed to capitalize multiple times in
the red zone. And vs. Michigan, the O gave it away.

Finally, I can't and won't argue the Greg Colby issue
(though I might not go so far to question the guy's
integrity ... just his coaching). He needs to go. It
was pretty clear today that the defensive plays being
made are being in spite of the game plan on D ... not
because of it. McGee is showing signs of progress (he
found the chapter on screen passes ... now he needs to
research red zone success:) ) as a young OC.

Colby has not shown signs of progress and we need a
new direction on defense. Between McManis and Wootten,
we have some atheltic talent we have not had in a few
years to try new schemes for pressure.
