As one poster pointed out, we're 2-8 in the last 10 against Purdue. It seems
that Tiller is stellar defending the spread (before 2000 it was only because
we were bad 97-99!) and usually has some sort of marvelous QB calling the
shots.
Of course, I'd like to win the remaining 6 games on the schedule, but I
believe we'll beat Ill-noise, but fall short against our old buddy Tiller.
Prediction time: First of all, I think the fans of Minnesota may be
thinking about NDSt., but I bet U of M.'s players aren't. I'm sure the 1500,1600
yards we've amassed in the last three games has got their attention.
Thanks Joe T. for reminding us of Coach B's house-cleaning at the beginning
of the season.
I was pissed for Mason's firing; it reminded me of the discussion that
went on on this list concerning RW's 6,7 win seasons. As was the case of
Mason, I'm not sure that some sort of Shula/Lombardi/Rockne clone could get more
out of either program.
With that said, Coach B. is in a house-cleaning year with many problems
to fix. The fact that Pinnix has been hurt , although not as bad as Sutton,
made their situation worse. As usual, our defense will keep this game close,
but as long as we hold on to the ball, we'll have little difficulty
tomorrow. CATS 38 GOEPHS 24.

   Let's git' er done! Eric
