MY PICKS

* ILLINOIS 31, Iowa 10 - The Illini could be due for a
letdown, but still have enough to overpower Iowa.

* MICHIGAN STATE 35, Indiana 31 - Tough call here as
Sparty could fold it in, but I think it will be
different at night in East Lansing and the Hoosiers
let one they should win slip away.

* MICHIGAN 21, Purdue 19 - Another tough call here, as
Purdue has the offense to give Michigan fits, but may
also be shell shocked after last week. Michigan
survives at home.

* OHIO STATE 49, Kent State 3 - More blowouts from the
annual Buckeye Football Invitational.

* PENN STATE 27, Wisconsin 24 - Game of the day and
one both teams need after consecutive losses in
Illini-land - Nits use the home field to eke one out.

* LSU 30, Kentucky 13 - No late heroics here as LSU
may look sluggish in the first half but wakes up to
pull away.

* OKLAHOMA 27, Missouri 17 - Could be a Big XII title
game preview and in Columbia, I'd take a Mizzou upset
... but not in Norman.

* TEXAS TECH 42, Texas A&M 34 - The Aggies can't keep
up in a wild shootout in Lubbock.

* ARKANSAS 26, Auburn 23 - The Hogs need this one and
get the win at home.

* BOSTON COLLEGE 35, Notre Dame 7 - The Eagles are not
the fourth best team in the country, but they should
still have enough to win comfortably in South Bend.

And off the board ...

* NORTHWESTERN 45, Minnesota 31 - No late collapse
this time for homecoming as the Cats storm out to the
lead and then continue to stay ahead in the second
half.
