College football just gets crazier every week.
Illinois was not only the favorite in the spread (how many times has an
unranked team been favored against a Top 5 team?), they pulled it off in
fairly convincing fashion, never trailing (just like the Cats!)
Meanwhile, Penn State and Iowa are both struggling to find an offense,
Michigan didn't exactly blow away a MAC team, Kansas beat ranked K-State,
and Louisville's season continues to fall apart as they lost to Utah last
night. After last week's big win over Oklahoma, will Colorado be
looking past Baylor?
You know the Irish have fallen on bad times when the most interesting
lead-in to the game ESPN can come up with is that this is their first
trip to Pasadena since the days of Knute Rockne.
Oh well, back to the madhouse. Maybe the Cubs can prolong the agony
another day?
