I think you're right that the offense seemed to run out of steam,
especially the O-line. I'm sure Fitz hopes for the same kind of
conditioning and stamina, but maybe he is not (yet?) as effective at
making it happen?

On the other hand, I think the defense stayed as tough as you could
possibly expect. Any defense would have run out of steam after the 3rd
or 4th consecutive. Perhaps under Fitz the defense is a little more
"driven" year round, whereas under Walker it was the offense. That
wouldn't be surprising, really, given their respective backgrounds.

One other thing--conditioning certainly appeared to be a big factor in
2000, but as we found out in 2001, that *may* have been in part because
some players were doing things they shouldn't have, in terms of taking
risky supplements and so forth.
