[NU Sports] Ineligible player

I didn't say he was perfect.

Also I can't say whether he is still capable of doing his job.

He is the product of an older generation that has seen a lot of change. Some
of them he has embraced and others he hasn't.

Whether you like him or not, you have to admire the competitive fire that
burns in him but doesn't consume his sense of the way the game should be
played.

I can share that my wife years ago was raising money for a kids orchestra in
Texas. She sent all of the coaches in the BT letters asking for something
that she could auction off at the fund raiser. Joe not only was the only one
who responded, but actually sent something that he signed.

Jeff

This is the same big-hearted guy who, a couple of years ago, was badgering
referees, making strange comments about female sportswriters, and a referee
figure was hanging in effigy in front of his house - so I can't embrace the
man's heart too much...It seems that he becomes magnanimous when the record
allows it.
