[NU Sports] 4th Quarter

When you run conditioning drills in football, you often shout "4th quarter" as
the kids run gassers. Along with throwing the ball to different players at
random during the running, it a tradition of any team I coach.

Yes, along with "it all starts on the offensive line," I borrowed that concept
from the Wildcats and Randy Walker - he used to talk about NU's conditioning,
how they expected to own the 4th quarter.

We don't see the Cats holding up 4 fingers any more. I'm sure it was something
that came from inside the team but its fallen out of the Wildcat sideline
routine.

With all my team's newbies, I'm a little worried about our guys going 100% for 4
quarters this year, but you could always count on NU to play 4 quarters and be
ready for more. I hope our offensive breakdown in the 4th quarter isn't because
we've stopped stressing that idea of playing a complete game.

And I wonder where the chain went?
