John,
I am a progressive (moderate liberal---not as one-sided as in my younger days, with a fondness now for balanced budgets and other more "conservative" concepts), and I love sports and want to see NU succeed on the athletic fields.? Does that make me an anomaly, or are your stereotypes simplistic and detached from reality.? President Bush is also a sports nut, the one thing I have in common with the man, and is also a conservative and a profound failure.? Does that mean I should put down all conservatives who love sports, because a leading example is such a horrible leader for our nation?? Why tar the entire NU faculty with a brush that has nothing to do with their attitude towards athletics??

What do you expect from a left wing oriented faculty?
