[NU Sports] Bowl game good/bad

Yes, if only for the extra 3 weeks of practice they'd get.

Most schools spend about half of that time working specifically on
the upcoming bowl game and the other half working with the players who
will be back next year.

It's like having a second set of spring drills and that makes it a HUGE 
competitive advantage for the teams playing in bowls.

Even the Domers finally admitted that the year they elected not to go to 
a 'lesser' bowl game was a big error.

BTW, Duke's coach got the axe, along with a bunch of others, including,
surprisingly, Jeff Bower after 17 years at Southern Mississippi.

And as expected, Joe Novak will retire at Northern Illinois.
