[NU Sports] PIGSKIN PICKS - Week 13

Sorry for the lack of standings, but that will
probably continue for a little while at least. We got
some sad news early this morning as my grandpa,
Herbert Totzke, passed away in Michigan. The shocking
part is that last weekend we flew in on a red-eye for
the IU game and drove out to SW Michigan to meet him
for a quick visit and breakfast and he looked better
than ever.

Anyway, I'll be out of town and out of e-mail contact
for the next week while we travel back to the midwest
and I suspect a lot of people will be gone for the
holiday, so I wanted to get these out early. Guess I'm
just finding something to do during the wait and the
NU game sure isn't helping time pass much.:(

* ARIZONA ST. 30, Southern Cal 24 - Should be a dandy
in the desert as Oregon's loss opened things up for
the Devils and they don't disappoint at home.

* LSU 41, Arkansas 21 - The Tigers avoid the BCS trap
in the rivalry game.

* TEXAS A&M 24, Texas 21 - Small upset here as the
Horns have been living dangerously and the Aggies give
Coach Fran a final sendoff to spoil their rivals' BCS
hopes.

* HAWAII 49, Boise State 42 - Should be a fun one as
this year's BCS buster beats last year's ... now the
Warriors gotta see if they can duplicate BSU's bowl
win.

* FLORIDA 47, Florida St. 30 - One thing Meyer knows
how to do (besides beat Mack Brown at a poll whining
contest) is beat rival schools.

* GEORGIA 30, Georgia Tech 17 - No upset here as the
Dawgs can smell the BCS.

* CLEMSON 23, South Carolina 21 - Could be an upset
here, but I'll take the Tigers who are going against
type to end this season strong.

* AUBURN 21, Alabama 14 - If this is indeed
Tuberville's farewell, Auburn fans better enjoy one
last chance to beat Bama for awhile.

* VIRGINIA TECH 26, Virginia 20 - The Cavs have lived
dangerously all year and could pull an upset, but the
Hokies are the better team and get to the ACC title
game to make it an intriguing game for once vs.
Clemson.

* KENTUCKY 34, Tennessee 30 - If the Vols don't choke
away their SEC lead this week, they will for Woodson's
home finale.
