The Wildcats' 2007 season has come to a close.  Unfortunately, it has closed with a blowout loss to Illinois, in which NU seemed woefully overmatched and unprepared.

For the year, however, Northwestern, in the second year of Coach Fitzgerald's tenure, continued to make significant improvement.  The team secured its fifth season out of the last eight in which it notched six or more wins.
