If we lose badly and embarrass ourselves, all  the country 
will just think, "Well, of course, that's the team which lost  to Duke."  Not
how I want to end the season.

If the country is sufficiently familiar with our non-con schedule to make a
remark like that, I would say that we are a much bigger success than anyone
realizes.

As an alum, the impression I get from others of our reputation is associated
mainly with academics and the fact that about ten years ago we played in the
Rose Bowl.  Other than that, we are an undifferentiated part of the "little
nine" that make up the rest of the BT.

BTW, I don't have any problems with high expectations and feel that this sort
of discontent for the second season of new head coach indicates that the NU
football program has come a long way.
