It's not a matter of living in a fool's paradise.  It's about optimism 
vs. pessimism.  It's about seeing the glass half full or half empty.  
It's about seeing what's good about our team vs. only seeing the bad.

Last year, we were 2-7 with three games to go.  We were just playing out 
the string.  Look at the difference this year.  Here we are, with one 
game to go, and we still have a chance at a winning season and a bowl 
game.  Think of the improvement from last year's 4-8 final record.

Also, stop and think for a moment about what things were like when most 
of us went to NU.  Try to appreciate the good in what has happened.  
Just try -- you'll live a happier life.
