Colby/Brown blew a 10-point lead late with their horrific defense, giving up
2 easy touchdowns and forcing CJ and company to make a valiant drive.
Fortunately, they were able to milk most of the clock, or Colby/Brown would have
yielded another easy score to the Hoosiers.
As for McGee, when 'yardage gained' becomes the deciding factor in wins and
losses, we will give him credit for his yards (read that, the players' yards,
gained by their talent and athleticism...McGee is mostly along for the
ride). Wins and losses are based on points, however, and McGee is abysmal at
scoring points when in the red zone.
It's wonderful that he's learning...We're proud Garrick is learning, lets
put one of his red zone game plans up on the fridge door. Northwestern is a
Big Ten school, not a learning stopover for would-be Offensive Coordinators.
Wilson and Dunbar knew their stuff when they got here. If McGee needs to
learn to be an OC, let him do it in the MAC, or NAIA, or Division III - not at a
BCS conference school.
