... what the &*!*@!# happened?

This is a real tough one to swallow because we came
out looking so good and at halftime, despite the
score, we clearly appeared to be the better team.

But we just couldn't get that third score to go up
21-0 or even 17-0.

Yeah, McManis got schooled on why you don't get too
emotional, trash talk and then bite on every fake they
throw at you, but the defense was OK for what you'd
expect. And they got us a fumble up 17-14 and we
couldn't seal the deal.

I just want to know why our offense doesn't have a
killer instinct. We go into a shell when we get a
lead. And even worse, we forget about the running
game. Does anyone have the numbers on how many rushing
attempts we had vs. Purdue and Iowa in the second
half? Seems like forever since Sutton touched it
except on that screen interception he should have had.
Bogus offensive interference call to take away our one
1st and goal, but otherwise we had no life.

Ugh - just disgusting. This loss just plain old sucks
and probably takes away any bowl hopes unless we
really come out on fire in the last two. Yuck. We
couldn't do anything against OSU and we absolutely
should have beaten Duke ... but these three fourth
quarter folds are what are defining our season right
now and we need to figure out why our offense can't
seal the deal.
