I have no expectations at all about this game, especially after the last two disappointing weeks. I pick up from some Hawk fans the spin that their defense is absolutely terrible this year (against Illinois??), which might suggest that Bacher and Sutton will have great days.? Maybe.? But our defense also has been inconsistent at best and the Iowa?QB and receivers may be eager to go after the dubious NU secondary/pass rush.? This is a chance on national television to restore some (recruiting-friendly) credibility to the Northwestern football program.? I hope the Cat coaches and players are up to the challenge.

Fellow Wildcat Faithful,
I am expecting our first complete game tomorrow. We've seen the Cats play a
solid 30 minutes here and a solid 45 minutes there. And, we've seen them play
plenty of ugly minutes and lucky minutes. Now, they have a 2-game home stand
with a very simple equation, win them both and you go to a bowl. Fitz knows it,
the players know it, and the fans know it.
Northwestern: 31
Iowa: 17
Expect Victory,
Jim
