[NU Sports] Interesting interview with Tulane sports law expert

I seem to remember comments from someone here on this list who had some part in
the admissions process that suggested that Coach Walker and Coach Carmody had a
certain number of "passes."
Of course, we can also look back on the report of the Tommy Amaker interview
that also appeared here where he had some HS transcripts of who turned out to be
Duke stars who would not have been accepted at NU.
Both of these stories came from posters who claimed to know the "facts" but I
doubt we'll ever know just how many low qualifiers NU actually admits to play
sports. I know that academics is very important to the guys recruiting all of
the sports at NU and they'd probably rather have a kid with the 3.75 GPA if all
wlse is even.
Of course so would all the other colleges now that progress towards graduation
is becoming so important to the NCAA.
