[NU Sports] Lacross 3-peat!!

I was at the game last night....great turn-out by the NU fans. I'd say 2/3 of the 6,000 in attendance supported NU. It was cool to hear the UVA fans start to chant "U-V-A" and the NU fans drown them out with "Go-Cats-Go". Can you imagine if the BB team ever made the NCAA? We'd travel in great numbers and have a rgeat presence....

NU got extremely conservative in the second half....they came out and went to an imediate delay, burning around 2 1/2 minutes of the clock before turning over the ball without getting a shot off. UVA promptly scored on a break and closed the gap to 1. Was touch and go the rest of the way. What a nail biter....

As an aside, Franklin Field is really a dump. It looks cool from the outside but inside it shows its age. Only positive: NU could take a lesson on rest rooms, the one I used was clean and modern. The food was Ryan Field poor, parking non-existent and the speaker system pathetic. I was impressed with the jumbotron though.

We beat Virginia, 15-13. 3 titles in a row! Now, let's go for the softball championship, too. First game is Thursday at 2 pm CDT vs. Arizona State.
