That's why they give you the cheese and crackers. Then you HAVE to buy a drink at awesomely inflated prices.

BTW, back in the 70s I installed a menu system when I worked in DP at the home office of McCrory's Stores before Meshulam Riklis virtually destroyed it by playing Monopoly with real money, real property, and real people. Friends of mine were not only forced out of a job, Riklis wiped out their pensions. (Wife Pia Zadora must have needed a new wardrobe or something.) At the time I worked there, McCrorys operated a restaurant named Captain Mac's that actually had the original patent on the term "Big Mac." McDonalds sued McCrory's and lost, but some moron sold rights to the name to McDonalds for a paltry one million bucks. (Not since the purchase of Manhattan Island. . .) Anyway, the menu system contained all the possible basic ingredients available, and then you just priced menu items ingredient by ingredient. Captain Mac's large Coke then sold for $.85. Total cost of all ingredients in that Coke including ice and cup? Five cents. Talk about gross. . . profit, that is.
