[NU Sports] Wow! What A Game!

I guess with the lack of first-round cinderellas, we
were due for a good day.

So far, the Big Ten is representing itself pretty
well. OSU and Wisky had scares (the Badgers face a
tough test tomorrow as well), and the other four have
gotten as far or better than seeded already. Illinois
put up a heck of a fight and shoulda won, Purdue and
MSU dominated good schools from other BCS leagues that
were top 20 this season at some point, and Indiana is
giving UCLA a run for their money at the half now
(how'd the Bruins get to stay in California for a
second straight year?).

So not a bad year for the Big Ten, and the more each
team gets, of course, the more pie share for us as
well.:)

I see U of M fired Amaker today - I know folks in
Evanston wanted him earlier when his star was much
brighter ... dunno who will want him now. He certainly
had more than enough chances to get Michigan in the
big dance and never really seemed to get out of
neutral.
