[NU Sports] hoops post mortem

We do need renovations to but not razing of Welsh-Ryan, starting with 
the locker rooms and practice areas - the places that the players use 
the most and which directly affect recruiting.   We also need, and here 
Tavaras Hardy will make an impact in coming years, to refocus recruiting 
efforts locally.  I don't just mean Chicago either.  One of the key 
starters at Duke is a Chicago suburban kid  - the type of player we 
should have had a shot at but who for whatever reason didn't even 
consider NU. Same goes for a Wilmette kid at Stanford.  It's bad enough 
not to get Public League kids but losing kids from New Trier and 
Glenbrook is terrible.  Especially when they won't even look at you.  
Another new assistant to focus on recruiting, in addition to Tavaras, 
may be a partial solution.  I'm not advocating a change at the top yet.  
Mostly because I don't see much out there that would be better that 
would be willing to take the job
