[NU Sports] We Lose 62-57

On TV, it was said that MSU merely used its assigned shooting time rather than taking the time off (as its coach offered its players). NU likely did same & used its assigned time. I don't think an assumption should be made based on the omission of info about NU (and what was possibly or probably an inaccurate statement or implication about MSU).

Neitzel is an amazing shooter and it took a sharpshooting performance from him to hold NU off. The defeat wasn't due to lack of gameday practice or motivation, but to a talent and experience differential. MSU is a strong team with significant experince in the clutch, and yet, NU had a chance to tie in the waning seconds.

I watched every second of the game and found it to be much more encouraging than most (I've seen the majority of our games). Craig Moore seems to have the touch and confidence back - he and Coble could become a potent duo.

Best wishes, everyone.

The announcers on ESPN commented that the Spartans asked for extra shoot around time; no comments that NU did the same and it showed. The Spartans were hitting everything and NU was its usually self. Maybe that shows the difference between a motivated team and one that doesn't care that much.
