Fellow List Members & Alums,
 
I am asking all of you to participate in voting for the referenced award  and 
to vote for Adam Haluska of Iowa.  He is eminently deserving of this  honor, 
as you will see from reading the email "endorsement" of his candidacy by  my 
partner, Rob Weiss.  Adam's kindness to Rob's younger son, Jesse (a  great and 
courageous kid if there ever was one) was a key component of the  inspiration 
that led Jesse to make a full recovery from a very serious physical  
condition.  I think I may have mentioned this in an email within the past  year when I 
circulated an article describing how the Iowa Hawkeye Athletic  Department 
rallied around Jesse and his family when he was in Iowa for  surgery.  Let's 
support a fellow Big Ten athlete.

Dear everyone,
I'd like to ask for a small favor.
 
Adam Haluska is a senior basketball player on the Iowa University  basketball 
team, and has been nominated for a prestigious national award- the  Lowes 
Senior CLASS Award- which is presented annually to a student athlete who,  based 
on personal qualities and characteristics, defines what it means to be a  
complete student athlete. Adam is one of ten men's basketball players nominated  
for this award.
 
When my son Jesse was recuperating from spinal fusion surgery in Iowa City  
in August, 2006, Jesse and my wife Michele passed some of the time by  
attending  basketball practices for the University of Iowa basketball team.  During 
this time they struck up close relationships with the coaching staff and  
various team members. Among them, Adam stood out as a young man of great  character. 
He would find time during each practice to spend a moment with Jesse  and 
brighten his day. He is truly worthy of this award. If you have a moment,  and
