[NU Sports] 12th game blues

NOOOOOO
We have to hold the line against the abomination that is the conference
championship. The only reason it is played is money and with the advent of
the Big Ten Network (whatever you may think of it and whether you can watch
it) the conference is not lacking for money, there is no reason to play it.
Besides, that would mean expansion, since 12 is required for a championship
game - something else I'm opposed to.
OSU was simply too slow for Florida and it wouldn't have mattered if the
Bucks had played two games after Thanksgiving, they still would have lost.

Not sure any of the Big Powers would accept the increased standards. If you
follow many of the team stories these days, if the kids aren't getting
arrested
in bar fights, they're flunking out [Maryland lost a top starter to grades
just
today.]
I have always wished for a Big 10 playoff game, even if it would be between
dOSU
and UM most of the time, because it would put that final game after
Thanksgiving
and let our conference champ have a chance at winning the big game on
January
1st or 2nd. Right now, our teams always look rusty in the first part of
those
BCS games and it really was obvious last year.
