I think that the fact that he was on vacation is only relevant because I 
suspect that the consequences would be much more swift and severe if he 
had been on University business.  Getting a DUI any time is bad, and is 
possibly a career-limiting move; getting a DUI while on a recruiting 
trip would be a career-*ending* move.
