The previous e-mail you are referring to did not say that race was the 
reason, only suggesting that it could have been--I certainly do not know the 
details--and as Paul said we don't even know if the 20 mph over the limit was 
accurate or just a charge from the cop--We do know that a number of studies indicate 
that African-Americans do get randomly  stopped on the road 
disproportionately--I suspect that in this instance it wasn't the case--it is likely as you 
described--on the other hand, I wouldn't bet my life on that
