[NU Sports] McGee Fire or Not?

I would love to see some statistics to back up this 'truth'.
I don't intend to make light of this as these are both very serious problems for our society, but I was able to find the following statistics:
http://www.cdc.gov/ncipc/factsheets/drving.htm
(2005) - 16,885 people died in alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes (although that might include people who are drunk and try walking across the highway, not necessarily a drunk vehicle operator)
http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/291/10/1238
(200) - 17,000 deaths related to illicit drugs, but this study doesn't split out the inner-city users dying in the senseless drug war and the suburban kids OD'ing on coke in their parents basement.

In truth we have lost more people in the senseless inner city drug wars than we
have in DWI induced accidents but nobody looks at pictures of dead inner city
victims like they look at pictures of car crashes so our media doesn't choose to
publicize this fact.
